On Saturday, Feb 19th
the Parade and Band Reunion were both well attended and in some instances emotional tears of joy …as Mr. Johnny F.
Hall directed the “Mighty Cyclones Marching Band” led by drum major Nikita Wilson.
The band performed at “Four Way” in front of
the former Elliott’s Food Store on Sowell Road just as they would do during the school’s existence. A crowd of
hundreds gathered as the alumni band played “Get Ready”. This performance kicked off the ball park festival where
many local citizens tailgated and joined the celebration to unite the community as a whole.
